The February 2018 meeting of the Government-University-Industry Research Roundtable will discuss Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning to Accelerate Translational Research. AI technology is already surpassing human decision-making in certain instances. Can machine learning technologies help translate findings in fundamental research into practice, move therapies into the clinical market, and move other products more quickly to commercialization? What are the regulatory and ethical issues that need to be taken into consideration? How do we best balance risk with reward?
